Capitals, SANA- The novel coronavirus (COVID 19) has claimed the lives of more than three million and 870,000 people worldwide since its outbreak last December 2019, according to latest statistics by the American worldometer website.

According to the website, the total number of Coronavirus infections around the world has so far amounted to 178770124 and the total deaths climbed to 3870134 while the total number of recoveries has reached 163317304 cases.

The United States still tops the worst affected countries by the virus in terms of infections and deaths, with 616,976 deaths out of 34,395,576 infections, while India comes in the second place with 385,815 deaths out of 29,853,870 infections, and Brazil in the third place with 498,621 deaths out of 17,802,176 cases.
