BUENOS AIRES, May 10 (Xinhua) -- Argentina registered on Monday nearly 500 new COVID-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, after reporting 496 deaths and 17,381 more infections.
According to the latest report from the health ministry, the South American country had accumulated 67,821 deaths and 3,165,121 cases.
Meanwhile, 2,837,058 people have recovered, while 260,242 cases are in active stage.
In addition, the bed occupancy rate of intensive care unit nationwide is 69.2 percent, said the ministry.
Argentina remains under social, preventive and mandatory distancing measures which will be in force until May 21.
