MUMBAI -- The death toll from a residential building collapse at Bhiwandi, 38 km west of Mumbai, rose to 35 as rescue operation continued on Wednesday 52 hours after the tragedy.

BERLIN -- Germany's COVID-19 cases rose by 1,769 to 275,927 over the past 24 hours, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for infectious diseases said on Wednesday.

BUENOS AIRES -- Four forest fires broke out on Tuesday in the central Argentine province of Cordoba, where some 400 firefighters backed by planes and helicopters were working to put them out, the local government has said.
